Public services have started accepting applications for participation in the RuCode Championship
The RuCode International Algorithmic Programming Championship is an opportunity to test your knowledge in the field of algorithms, get additional points on the Unified State Exam or strengthen your portfolio, as well as compete for prizes.
Who can participate
Everyone can take part — schoolchildren, students and IT industry specialists. The main thing is knowledge of one of the programming languages: Python, C/C++, Java, Kotlin, Rust. The championship has three divisions: senior, middle and junior. The choice of division is determined by the level of participants — you will need to take the test. The team can include from one to three people.
Stages of the championship
The qualifying stage is a qualification in the online championship format, which determines the participant's division corresponding to the level. It will be held in July and August. Participants solve programming tasks from the comfort of their homes. The final will be held in September in person at the sites of Russian and foreign universities. The superfinal will be held in October at Sirius University, the capital of the championship. It is equipped with modern infrastructure and has extensive experience in organizing large-scale events. "In 2019, the idea of the RuCode festival was supported by a grant from the President of the Russian Federation. The championship is part of the All-Russian Artificial Intelligence and Algorithmic Programming Festival RuCode, which has been held for 5 years by the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology in cooperation with a consortium of co-organizing universities. In 2024, the championship entered the Russian Book of Records as the most massive programming competition. Thus, thanks to the cooperation of the leading universities of our country from Vladivostok to Kaliningrad, the national standard of intellectual competitions was launched within the framework of the festival," said Alexey Maleev, Director of the Higher School of Software Engineering at MIPT.
Since 2025, the RuCode International Algorithmic Programming Championship has received international status. The order on the annual holding of the championship was signed by the head of Government Mikhail Mishustin. The solution is aimed at developing and popularizing programming, increasing the interest of young talents in programming as a professional activity. The functions of the Championship operator are performed by MIPT, the coordinator is the Ministry of Finance of Russia.
